On January 8th, it was a packed house at the Rye Free Reading Room as The New Blue of Yale
captivated the audience with their unique vocal performance.
Founded in 1969, The New Blue holds the distinction of being Yale University’s first all-women’s
a cappella group and the oldest all-women’s undergraduate organization on campus. Over the
past five decades, they have evolved into one of Yale’s premier soprano-alto ensembles, known
for their entirely self-arranged and diverse repertoire. From current pop hits and folk ballads to
soulful jazz and blues, The New Blue delivers a performance rich with musical history.
This January, The New Blue embarks on their winter tour, bringing their dynamic sound to
venues across Westchester County.
